Buro Famos

BÜRO FAMOS is an association between designers Hanna Litwin and Romin Heide.

Litwin and Heide first met at the University of Applied Sciences in Coburg, Germany, where they studied Integrated Product design. Upon graduating, they took off in different directions, designing and art directing for variety of design studios.

In 2012, Litwin and Heide established their own studio to focus on the junction of graphic and product design.

From their design studio in Berlin, Litwin and Heide create objects simple in shape, enjoyable to use, serious and charming. Litwin and Heide espouse design which elicits smiles — it’s their experience that much-loved products experience a longer life.

“It is important to us to design objects that are made to last. This creates sustainability in a logic [al] and intuitive way. Things that are used for a long time and are able to adapt themselves — depending on changing circumstances — have the ability to generate reminiscence. Using honest, high quality materials and manufacturing methods play an important role here.
