Hans Thyge Raunkjaer

Born in 1957, Hans Thyge Raunkjær together with Karen Kjærgaard founded Raunkjær Kjærgaard Design Office (RKDO) in 1989.

Raunkjær has organised many international exhibitions and showcases. His own works took the form of a moving exposition from 1997 to 1999 across Europe. Raunkjær has multiple publications to his name: among them chairs on the Run (2005).

Raunkjær has received numerous international awards for his work, among them, the Danish Furniture Award 2005, which was awarded to him for his work for the Danish design furniture industry.

Along with his work with Modo, Eva Trio, or Saniscan, Raunkjær produced designs for many other manufacturers, designing products like lamps, bathroom fittings, and furniture.
