Roberto Paoli


Graduating in Architecture at the University of Florence in 1994, Roberto Paoli began his career immediately, in the sphere of small-scale design, by specialising in bending glass, and in plastic injection moulding techniques.

His Milan studio deals with product design and architecture. This intermingling of these two disciplines takes the form of projects for houses, stores, and showrooms, along with exhibitions and stands. Paoli also creates and curates exhibitions and design culture events.

Paoli designs for a variety of brands: Modo, Artemide, Nemo Cassina, Muranodue, Midj, and Serralunga. His products have stirred great interest in within the international media.

In 2010 Freskogel, a set of notebook feet in Technogel® he designed for Tucano was inserted in the ADI DESIGN INDEX 2009 as a candidate for the Compasso d’Oro Award.

In 2009, 2010 and 2011 he won three times the Chicago GOOD DESIGN AWARD.

In 2013 also the floor lamp Tru by Nemo Cassina was selected in the ADI Design Index as candidate for the Compasso d’Oro Award.
